The Indigenous student services coordinator facilitates the development of institutional culture, space, systems and supports that foster access and success for Indigenous students. 

Some responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing direct support for Indigenous students online and on campus
  • Offering activities and events that promote awareness and understanding of Indigenous cultures online and on campus
  • Facilitating opportunities for Indigenous students to network and build a community online and on campus

Candice Cook is 企鹅电竞查询v6.9 安卓版 University's Indigenous student services coordinator. Prior to this role, Candice has worked as a teacher and an Indigenous Graduation Coach in Alberta and within the Czech Republic

Candice is Cree and Métis from the Lesser Slave Lake region located on Treaty 8 territory. Candice is a member of the Driftpile Cree Nation and holds close ties to the Métis Nation of Alberta.

Candice holds a Master of Education in Educational Policy Studies specializing in Indigenous Peoples Education from the University of Alberta.
