Gemma Fraser

Summary

Gemma has worked at 企鹅电竞查询v6.9 安卓版 University since 2014 in various roles, including learning strategist, counsellor and team coach. She's known for being warm and friendly. She creates an atmosphere where students feel encouraged to explore possibilities in a safe and supported way.

Approach

As a counsellor, Gemma uses a variety of approaches including solution-focused brief therapy, narrative therapy, emotionally-focused therapy and cognitive-behavioural therapy. She'll work with you to meet your individual needs with gentleness and compassion.

In a non-judgmental and positive way, Gemma can collaborate with you. She'll help you explore what's working well and areas that might need change, and create accountability for the change process.

Credentials

Gemma's a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and has a Master of Education degree. Gemma's available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Isaac believes each person is unique in their life experiences, yet shares a collective thread of humanity with others. He has a passion for depth psychology and will use a combined approach that includes somatic and solution-focused therapy. Isaac will work collaboratively with you to explore your present concerns, help you to learn more about yourself and guide you to find realistic next steps.

Credentials

Isaac is in his final year of a Masters of Counselling program and is completing his internship through Royal Road's student services department. His varied life experiences help him to create a comfortable and understanding environment to explore all aspects of life. He has worked with students with diverse needs both in Victoria School District and at The Queen Alexandra Centre for Children's Health.

Carrie Everett Profile Photo

Carrie Everett

Carrie is a life-long Vancouver Islander. For the past 15 years she has primarily worked in the non-profit sector working with individuals to meet their career and education goals while also recognizing the impacts of experiences of trauma on their day-to-day life. Currently she is excited to be a support to post-secondary students in their journey.

Approach

Carrie’s counselling approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, strengths-based and client-centered. She uses an integrative approach drawing on solution-focused brief therapy, mindfulness, emotion-focused therapy, and feminist and social justice principles.

Credentials

Carrie is currently completing a Master of Counselling degree through the University of Calgary. Carrie’s undergraduate degree is from the University of Victoria. She also has completed a three year Somatic Experiencing Professional Training Program .

Approach

Rachel takes a non-judgmental, open, and collaborative stance towards providing support and exploring solutions. She is interested in incorporating mindfulness skills into Cognitive-Behavioural, Solution-Focused, and Positive Psychology approaches.

Credentials

She is currently completing her Masters of Education Degree in Counselling Psychology, having completed her practicum at 企鹅电竞查询v6.9 安卓版, and plans to register as a Clinical Counsellor. Rachel has been a social worker and in Victoria for 12 years. She owned and operated a non-profit yoga and wellness center for the past 8 years and is passionate about accessible, community-based programming.
