Associate professor

Geoff Archer has been core faculty for Entrepreneurship at 企鹅电竞查询v6.9 安卓版 since 2009. He has been invited to give conference presentations all over the world and has authored numerous academic works on the topics of entrepreneurial thinking, experiential learning, microfinance and sustainable business. Archer holds the first utility patent granted to a 企鹅电竞查询v6.9 安卓版 faculty member. He is currently working to commercialize this potentially life-saving traffic safety innovation in Europe, Hong Kong and Japan. In addition to his professorial responsibilities, Archer is also the director of the Eric C. Douglass Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies. In this capacity he has mentored myriad entrepreneurial student and alumni and connected investors to 企鹅电竞查询v6.9 安卓版 stakeholders with practical business models that make a difference. Archer is a former senior vice president of Partnerships for the International Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and a past president of the Canadian Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Experience

For the past several years, Archer has also been teaching Entrepreneurship and Strategy in the Master of Technopreneurship program at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (typically ranked top 15 in the world). This builds upon his previous visiting professor stint at the University of Nottigham’s campus in Ningbo, China. There he identified and coached student businesses, produced an entrepreneurship conference for the Ningbo business community and served on the team that negotiated government incubator space. Prior to his time at 企鹅电竞查询v6.9 安卓版, Archer taught entrepreneurship at Duke University, Oregon State University and the University of Virginia. He also has more than 20 years of entrepreneurial and corporate intrapreneurial work experience, including starting businesses inside of ExxonMobil, Hewlett-Packard and Yahoo!, Inc.
